EXEvolve MPMX4000

EXEvolve MPMX4000

The EXEvolve MPMX4000 is a high-performance DIN-rail multi-circuit multi-function smart meter supporting multi-parameter measurement and time-of-use (TOU) energy metering. It monitors up to four independent circuits from a single device, offering quick installation, flexible communication and multiple auxiliary power options for a wide range of power distribution scenarios.

Key Features:

  • Up to 4 circuits in one device: 1 to 4 configurable loops, reducing panel space, wiring and cost compared with individual meters per circuit.
  • Multiple wiring modes: 3P4W-4CT, 3P4W-3CT, 3P3W-3CT, 3P3W-2CT, 1P3W and 1P2W — suitable for single-phase, three-phase three-wire and three-phase four-wire systems.
  • High-precision measurement: Voltage L-N 0-600V AC at ±0.2% (60-600V AC), current at 0.1% plus sensor accuracy, frequency ±0.01% (45-65Hz) and power factor ±0.005.
  • Metering standards: Active and apparent power and active energy to IEC 62053-22 Class 0.5S; reactive power and reactive energy to IEC 62053-21 Class 1S.
  • Flexible current sensing: Rogowski Coil models (up to 12,000A at 50Hz) or voltage-type CT models (VCT 0.333V), connected via RJ45.
  • Comprehensive measurements: Phase and line voltage, current with neutral, frequency, PF and DPF, active/reactive/apparent power and energy per circuit and total, plus 6 tariff energy registers (ET1-ET6).
  • Power quality analysis: Total, odd and even harmonics plus individual harmonics from the 1st to the 50th order for voltage and current, K-Factor, phase diagram and phase sequence, and voltage and current imbalance (negative and zero sequence).
  • Demand and logging: Demand and time-stamped maximum demand for total active, reactive and apparent power, plus max./min. values for voltage, current and power.
  • Optional expansion: One expansion slot for zero-sequence current or temperature detection (Circuit 1 only).
  • Relay output: One electromagnetic relay output with 3A 30V DC / 3A 250V AC contact capacity.
  • Communications: Modbus RTU over RS-485 (2,400-38,400 bps) plus LAN, Modbus TCP/IP, Web Server and FTP Server — integrating readily with SCADA, PLC and smart distribution platforms.
  • History and data export: Energy records, demand changes, alarm events and configuration changes at 5 to 9,999 second intervals, exportable via the built-in FTP server or remotely through the web page. Key data is retained on power loss.
  • Rugged design: -20°C to +70°C operating range, 5-95% RH non-condensing, IP20, overvoltage category III and 4kV/1min dielectric strength, in a compact 90 x 89 x 66mm DIN-rail housing.

Auxiliary Power Options: 220V AC (95-265V AC), 24V DC (18-36V DC) or 480V AC (90-528V AC) depending on model.

Typical Applications:

  • Industrial power distribution: accurate energy consumption monitoring to improve power quality and equipment stability.
  • Smart building management: optimising electricity usage structure, reducing consumption and improving energy management efficiency.
  • Data centre power monitoring: accurately measuring power demand and improving power supply reliability.
  • Renewable grid connection monitoring: supporting solar and wind systems with real-time power parameter monitoring.
  • Multi-tenant sub-metering: metering several outgoing circuits from one DIN-rail device for cost allocation.
