Imagine what you can do

  • Test a valve on the spot—no need to walk back to your computer.
  • Use an inexpensive tablet as an operator interface for the machine you’re building.
  • Control equipment in dangerous environments—places where you can’t go or where you can’t afford to run network wiring.
  • Mobilize technicians in the field and monitor remote sites from anywhere.
  • Make your Internet of Things (IoT) project a reality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the mobile app require a programmer to configure?

No. Dashboards are configured by drag and drop using a tag-based binding model. Operators can build their own views; engineering involvement is required only for initial protocol setup and security configuration.

What protocols does the mobile app connect to?

The app connects to the PecStar iEMS platform, which aggregates Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, OPC UA, and SNMP sources. The mobile app does not talk directly to field devices; it operates against the curated dataset published by the iEMS platform.

Is remote control safe over public networks?

Control actions traverse a TLS-encrypted tunnel and require user authentication plus a second confirmation step. Control privileges are configured per user and per asset, so a tablet on the shop floor can supervise local equipment without being authorised for site-wide changes.

Does the app work offline?

Cached dashboards remain viewable when the device loses connectivity, but live data and control actions require an active connection. The app reconnects automatically and refreshes cached views when connectivity returns.
