Overview

A W.A.G.E.S Utility Monitoring System tracks consumption across five resource streams in a single platform: Water, Air, Gas, Electricity, and Steam. By centralising utility data from meters and sensors, a W.A.G.E.S system gives facility teams the visibility they need to identify waste, allocate costs accurately, and verify sustainability performance against regulatory and corporate targets.

What W.A.G.E.S Stands For

Water, Air, Gas, Electricity, Steam. The acronym originated in industrial energy auditing as shorthand for the five utilities that drive operating cost in most manufacturing, healthcare, and commercial environments. Treating these utilities as a single monitoring problem (rather than five separate ones) reveals interdependencies that single-utility tools miss: for example, compressed air leaks that show up as electricity waste at the air compressor, or steam losses that show up as gas waste at the boiler.
