PMC-2112
The PMC-2112 Industrial Ethernet Fiber Switch supports plug-and-play operation in conformance with IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet) and IEEE 802.3u (Fast Ethernet). It provides connectivity for up to 12 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports plus an optional 2 100BaseX fibre-optic ports, and is designed specifically for industrial automation, offering reliable performance in harsh industrial and commercial environments.
Key Features:
- Up to 12 Ethernet ports: 10/100Mbps auto-negotiation on RJ45 connectors, with full-duplex flow control and Auto MDI/MDIX.
- Optional fibre-optic ports: 2 100BaseX ports with LC connectors for single-mode or multi-mode SFP modules, extending an Ethernet segment up to 20km.
- Redundant power: Optional dual independent power supply modules minimise the risk of supply failure, with a Loss-of-Power (LOP) alarm for system reliability.
- Galvanic isolation: 1.5kV Ethernet/fibre barriers (magnetic isolator) provide electrical isolation between network segments.
- Industrial-grade construction: Fanless design rated -25°C to +70°C, 5-95% non-condensing humidity, 70kPa to 106kPa, with 6kV ESD protection.
- Switching performance: 8kB MAC address table and 2.4MB cache buffer.
- Flexible mounting: Standard 35mm DIN-rail mounting or 40 x 155mm panel cutout mounting, in a 63 (W) x 145 (H) x 115 (D) mm enclosure.
- Wide-range power input: 95-250V AC/DC ±10%, 47-440Hz, consuming 5W or less.
- Plug and play: No configuration required for standard deployment.
Fibre-optic performance: 1310nm wavelength. Multi-mode (50µm / 62.5µm fibre) reaches 2km with -31dBm RX sensitivity; single-mode (9µm fibre) reaches 20km with -34dBm RX sensitivity.
Compliance: Safety to IEC 61010-2-201; CE EMC Directive 2014/30/EU (EN IEC 61326: 2021) including EN 61000-4-2, -4-3, -4-4, -4-5, -4-6, -4-8 and -4-12; mechanical testing to IEC 60068-2-31 (free fall), IEC 60068-2-6 (vibration) and IEC 60068-2-27 (shock).
Ordering: Standard model PMC-2112-1-F0T12-E provides 12 10/100BaseT ports with a single power supply. Select F2T10 for 10 RJ45 ports plus 2 fibre-optic ports, and power supply option 2 for dual supplies. Compatible SFP modules: PMC-SFP-S20-100M (single-mode, 20km) and PMC-SFP-M02-100M-1 (multi-mode, 2km).
